A little instrument can go a long way

It has been been proven that kids do better in school when they are actively involved in music. Music also helps with reading, concentration, math and science skills, because it adds to children’s cognitive and reasoning development. Also children are more likely to set goals, get along with peers, and go to college. If something like being involved with music is all it takes, why not get them started early on?

We really have to commend shows that help kids learn by using music in a fun and exciting way. Yo Gabba Gabba uses fun songs to teach kids everything from how to eat healthy to how to wash your hands.  Your kids will surely remember how do these tasks more if they find themselves singing the songs (which I often do).

You don’t have to be a virtuoso to start your interest in music-it can begin at a very young age! We here at Ty’s Toy Box have one item that will stir the musical interest in your little one- Plex’s keytar! The keytar is a combination of a keyboard and guitar.  You can play the notes on the keyboard, strum the guitar, or a little of both. It’s an adorable gift especially for 2-year-olds and up. Alternatively, if you’re looking to bust a few moves, consider Yo Gabba Gabba’s Boom Box Theater! Both of these can be found in Yo Gabba Gabba toys.

Yo Gabba Gabba continues to collaborate with a lot of high profile people and musicians on their show, known as the Super Music Friends Show.  First Jimmy Fallon and now Band of Horses.  Yo Gabba Gabba is so much fun to watch! I honestly can’t get enough. Check out the  clip below:
