I’m sad. I am so sad.
Without belaboring my age (which isn’t a day over 29, naturally, because I am but a young spring flower as far as you know), let’s just say that I loved Seinfeld for years and years. Before there was Friends, there was Seinfeld. Before there was “Could I be any more annoying?” there was “Not that there’s anything wrong with that!”
I believed in Jerry Seinfeld’s ability to pull this off, is what I’m saying. The buzz was good. And he’s Jeffry Seinfeld, for crying out loud. Surely it would be funny, at the very least.
Well, let’s check the Tomatometer: 54%; in other words, rotten.
A surprisingly unfunny, belabored and unimaginative comedy, Bee Movie is a huge disappointment considering the extent of Seinfeld’s participation.

I was sort of clinging to the hope that things were going better than I thought, before reading these reviews, but then last night I saw Seinfeld in a McDonald’s commercial. Well, more accurately, I saw his Bee Movie character in a movie promotional commercial for McDonald’s, and it was just painful. And the first thing I thought was, “Gee, is it possible that Jerry Seinfeld needs more money?” Because I can’t think of another good reason to be doing McD’s ads if you don’t have to. But maybe that’s just me.
Anyway, I guess I should just be pleased that I can skip this one. It’s just too bad that it had to ruin my fond memories of Seinfeld being, you know, funny.

I am so sick of all the ads and promos for that movie, that I vowed not to go and see it!
