well first it’s a trilogy second i think a black person could play katara depending on their skin color and I think if They try hard they can pull it off I would love to play the part of katara but im kind of overweight im trying to lose weight and im going to see if i can get an agent cuz i love to act like katara itz probably gonna take me a few months but i will pull through never give up on your dreams you never know Ive alwayz wanted to make it into a live action movie that would be like the next Harry Potter cuz i love it so much so im gonna try

Agh, this is horrible, there is no way they can condense such a huge complex story into a single movie. Sure the effects would be cool to watch, but the actual story, they won’t be able to compare to. I hated it when Harry Potter came out, it cut sooo much out, or a series of unfortunate events, I guess if they have each movie one book at a time it wouldn’t be so bad… But there’d still be soooooooo much missing!

Whoa i just found out about th eAvatar movie from the comiccon and if i could audition i have katara in the bag. Im half black and half white so her skin complection i have. I have green eyes which is weird for being half black, but katara has those features except her eyes are blue. im 14, My great grandma is cherokee indian and i have those high cheek bones. I love pretending to be a water bender. lastly i have dark an dlightish brown curly hair. Does anyone know where the auditions are or have any idea where they could be.

You do sound perfect for Katara, Asia! Haha.

All of you are right- this could be amazing or it could be horrible, depending on who they cast/effects they use/ect. I just hope the fighting scenes are as cool as they are in the cartoon series and it doesn’t look all cheezy.
And the people that are talking about how important culture is are right too. I really, really hope they don’t mess it up. I think we’ve all seen that too many times.

& Yeah, if anyone knows where to audition that would be awesome if you could post it here. (:
